Finland’s Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators make their much anticipated return to the scene with this moody single ahead of their second album “Tortured Soul”, expected to be released early next year. The single, with its dirty groove offset by a beautifully light chorus, proves the band are just as sure footed as on their superb debut, 2005′s “Keep Reachin’ Up” which blended deep funk with crossover soul to great effect. Judging by the quality of the two tracks here, which display a smart mix of raw and refined, we are certainly in for another treat.
